What is pranic body? What do you mean by prana, are you heard about this?

Prana is the vital energy present in our whole body.

Pranic body means our body is comprised of five sheaths.

Which accounts for the different aspects or dimensions of human existence.

These five sheaths are;

           1.Annamaya kosha

           2.Manomaya kosha

           3.pranamaya kosha

           4.Vijnanamaya kosha

           5.Anandamaya kosha

These are pancha koshas.pancha koshas are five sheaths of human personality.

Human body has three bodies where all these five koshas reside,they are; Gross body,subtle body,casual body.

   *Annamaya kosha – physical sheath

   *Manomaya kosha – mental sheath

   *Pranamaya kosha – life force sheath

   *Vijnanamaya kosha – wisdom sheath

   *Anandamaya kosha -bliss body

   1.Annamaya kosha

               The outermost kosha,refering to the physical body,which needs food and nourishment to thrive.

               Asana practice,dietary changes and sleep quality thease all are included in Annamaya kosha.

2.Manomaya kosha

            This means psychological sheath.

Manomaya kosha is where one’s sense of self develops.mindfulness is the most effective way of influencing the manomaya kosha.

3.Pranamaya kosha

         Pranamaya kosha is the vital energy sheath.pranamaya kosha is composed of prana and is greatly influenced by pranayama.

4.Vijnanamaya kosha

             This is the intellect sheath,this sheath is the seat of intuition,connected to inner wisdom and deeper states of consciousness.

5.Anadamaya kosha

          This is the bliss sheath, otherwise known as the bliss body.This sheath is pure individual self.everyday practice meditation which helps to connect practioners with Anandamaya kosha.

Prana

       Energy flows from the chest to thorax,this governs the larynx,lungs,and chest region.This is associated with the ement Air

Apana

       Which is located from the navel to the base plexus.This is responsible for all excretory, reproductive functions and governs the large intestine,kidneys,anus and genitals.it is associated with the element of water.

Samana

       From the navel to the diaphragm.it is responsible for all digestive and metabolic functions including the circulatory system and governs the heart,liver,small intestine,stomach,pancreas and their secretions,element is fire

Udana

       Area above the neck and is responsible for all the sense organs.it governs thought and consciousness,harmonises and activated the limbs and all their associated nerves,ligaments,muscles and joints.element is space .

Vyana

       Present whole body.regulates and controls all movement and co-ordinate the other prana vayus.element is Earth
